Announcing a new Meetup for Austin Shamanism!

Join us for this third Tribal Gathering that brings together participants from the vital Austin Shamanism community. This time we will begin with a brief introductory exploration of shamanic TranceDance, a body-centered pathway of music and movement.

TranceDance is a blindfolded ecstatic dance experience that combines rhythm and movement, unencumbered by vision. Not distracted by what you see, and without concern for how you might look to others, you can release your mind and let the music dance you. Please feel free to bring your own bandanna or blindfold, and we do have a limited number to borrow.

Following the TranceDance, join us for drumming, food, conversation, and community, with our ongoing drumming circle and potluck feast. Break bread with us together, visit with others in the Austin shamanism community, share the heartbeat of the drum and the smiles of our hearts. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Schedule (times are approximate)
7:00 doors open
7:30 to 8:20 ~ TranceDance experience
8:30 to 9:30 ~ Drumming, potluck, more fun!
9:45 ~ Full Moon Ceremony
10:00 ~ Open the circle

Please Bring: A dish or non-alcoholic beverage to share for the feast and your hand drum and/or rattles for the circle. (Food, drums, & rattles are encouraged but not required)

Cost: Free or by Donation.
