DESCRIPTION:Austin Shamanism\n\nShamanism Class and Journey Circle\n1st and
  3rd Wednesdays ~ 12:30 to 2:00 pm\n\nThis class and circle is designed to 
 meet the needs of those interested in shamanic practice who work or have ot
 her obligations in the evening. Twice each month\, on the 1st and 3rd Wedne
 sdays\, we discuss topics of interest concerning contemporary shamanic prac
 tice. We also explore the shamanic journey to connect with guides and teach
 ers in the spirit world.\n\nThis Circle is for anyone interested in shamani
 c practice. Shamanism is not a religion or a dogma. It is not dependent on 
 any particular organizational structure or belief system\, but is a practic
 al world view based on ancient understanding of the relationships between h
 umans and nature or Spirit. The shamanic perspective on life and living is 
 extremely relevant to the challenges and concerns of our modern world and o
 rdinary life experiences\, and is compatible with all religious and spiritu
 al beliefs. \n\nWhat to bring with you?\nIn addition to curiosity and willi
 ngness to explore something new\, bring a journal or notebook with you to r
 ecord your journey and insights that you receive. Wear comfortable clothes 
 for floor seating on pillows and yoga blankets. If you have a hand drum\, f
 eel free to bring it\, but it is not necessary. You might also bring a band
 anna or blindfold to cover your eyes.\n\nA $10 contribution requested to co
 ver time and space rental. RSVP is requested for attendance. PayPal is avai
 lable\, but not required. You can also pay by cash or check at the door.\n\
